Vernon Robert Peck

Vernon Robert Peck, 84, passed away on November 9, 2023, at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He was born on April 5, 1939, in Homer, New York, growing up in New York and living in Florida until moving to Glennville in 2005. 

Vernon's career as a Mechanical Engineer at Pratt Whitney spanned 29 years. Not only was Vernon accomplished in his professional life, but he also was a proud US Air Force Veteran. 

Beyond his professional achievements and military service, Vernon possessed a multitude of interests and hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life. He loved being outdoors, whether it was camping or fishing. Vernon had an incredible knack for tinkering on things and had an impressive collection of model trains. Additionally, spending time with family and his beloved pets brought him immeasurable happiness.

Vernon is a member of Glennville Free Will Baptist Church and preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Leroy Peck and sister, Clara Ester Albin.

He is survived by:

Wife of 54 years, Martha Paul Peck of Glennville, Georgia

Sister-in-law, Alberta Peck of Missouri

Brother-in-law, Rodney Paul (Dolores) of Glennville, Georgia

Nieces and Nephews, Lisa Lane (James) of Glennville, Georgia

                                    Mary Franken (Steve) of Missouri
                                    Kathy Meyer (Lloyd) of Missouri
                                    James Moody (Allison) of Missouri

K-9, Feline Companions and Cousins also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 13, 2023 at Brannen Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Glennville City Cemetery.
