Virginia Ann Griffin, 82, of Glennville, Georgia died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. She was born in Long County, Georgia on August 29, 1933 to Cecil and Mana Howard Brown and was a graduate of Ludowici High School. She married Eugene Griffin on June 25, 1965, and together, they made the Glennville community their home. Having worked in the food and grocery service industry for many years, she is remembered for her gift of baking and decorating cakes, crocheting, quilting, love of nature, being a successful homemaker, and more. Her servant heart is what she was known for among family and friends, and she was a wonderful caregiver to those she loved and in need. Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Griffin; parents, Cecil and Mana Howard Brown; and brother, Jimmy Brown.
She is survived by:
Sister, Jane Mulhbaier (Dave) of Aiken, South Carolina
Sister-in-law, Hilda Brown of Hampton, Georgia
Niece and faithful caregiver, Cindy Knight of Glennville, Georgia
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Glennville City Cemetery.
