Wayne M. Warren Metter- Mr. Wayne M. Warren 71, of Metter died early Friday morning at his home. He was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church where he enjoyed being part of the brotherhood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading; and was a talented woodworker, and cabinet man who took pleasure in his work. Wayne was a quiet, gentle man that would do anything for anyone that he could; and was a man of his word. He is preceded in death by his parents Mondell and Cora Wren Warren. He is survived by his wife Sarita Warren, of Metter, and daughters Shannon Warren of Metter, and Melissa (Brandon) Sellers of Statesboro; grandchildren Tanner (Alicia) Lanier, Braeden Sellers, Mason Sellers; great-grandchildren Lexi and Wesley Lanier, and Mason and Clayton Johnson; sister Annette Bazemore, of Metter. Also surviving are Wayne's brother James Earl Warren, of Lakeland, FL; brother-in-laws Emery (Elizabeth) Southard, of Nashville, TN; Bill (Barbara) Gray, of LaGrange, GA; sister-in-law Gail Southard, of Andersonville, SC; last surviving Aunt Willene Douglas of Aline; close family friends Terry and Gaylon Lanier; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well. Visitation will be Monday, November 23, 2015 5:00pm-7:00pm at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 24, 2015 11:00am at Cedar Street Baptist Church; the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Pallbearers: Wayne Culbertson, David Gorham, Terry Lanier, Ronnie Sikes, Monty Tillman, Albert Wilson. Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
