Wesley Johnson

November 13, 1957 — July 22, 2015

Wesley A. Johnson, 57, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. He was born November 13, 1957 in Eldorado, Kansas to David W. and Delores Miller Johnson. He was a 1976 graduate of Iroquois High School in South Dakota. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Georgia National Guard at MATES on Ft. Stewart. He was employed at Georgia State Prison for 9 years and was owner and operator of R & W Trucking Company. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and family and he was an avid race car fan. Wes was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and preceded in death by his parents.

Jennifer (Dustin) Skipper, all of Glennville
Sister:Aunalisa (Ray) Steinshouer of Glennville
Brothers:Lyndon (Pam) Johnson of Montrose, SD
Jason (Carrie) Johnson of Volga, SD
Aaron (LaDonna) Johnson of Phillip, SD
Grandchildren:Olivia, Alexandra and Kensley Bruce
Gavin, Gabe and Grant Sapp
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Weisel and Bro. Michael Sapp officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
Pallbearers: Glenn Smith, Joe Thompson, Shawn Tootle, Robbie Block, Tony Cason and Tyler Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dana Simmons, Kline Tootle, Quinton Rush, Leslie Groover, John O'Hare, Ronnie Fincher, Buck Smith, Buddy Wren and Buddy Williams.

Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
