Wilbert Knight

Wilbert Knight, 77, died October 5, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born to Ottis P. and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Branham Knight on September 11, 1937. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a devoted and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church he served as a deacon for 38 plus years, also served as treasurer for 32 years, as well as many other ministries in the church.
He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 34 years of faithful service as a mechanic.
He was an avid Nascar Race car fan and lived to rebuild the Fords to out-run the Chevrolets.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; two brothers; and a sister.

Lawson Knight
Several nieces, nephews and dear and special friends also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Knight and Rev. Bryan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Ashley Knight, Daniel Knight, Jordan Lynn, Trey Perry, Alan Knight, Chris Knight and Dana Hammock.
Honorary Pallbearers: Department of Transportation Employees, and Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
