Willie Collins

Willie E. Collins 80, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his residence under the care of his family and Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Candler County native had lived in this area most of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving for 17 years. He loved to hunt, fish, watch westerns, enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. He was a member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Shannon Smith of Port Allegany, Penn
Kimberly (Kendrell) Tippins of Glennville, Georgia
Crystal (John W.) Powell of Glennville, Georgia
Billy Collins of Reidsville, Georgia
Willie Collins Jr., of Collins, Georgia
Adam Chavis of Perry, Georgia
16 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Weisel and Rev. Jesse Browning officiating. Burial will be in Battle Creek Church Cemetery with military honors.
