Willie Dowdy

Willie Jo Dowdy, 89 passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. She was born in Glennville one of seven children December 10, 1928 to William Edward and Eva Pearl Lewis Knight and lived in Glennville all of her life. She was a homemaker, loving caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She never met a stranger always laughing and joking and never forgot a joke. She loved to be with friends and family and was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Franklin Dowdy.
She is survived by; Children, Jerry Dowdy (Susan) of Wrens, GA
Linda Struthers (Carl) of Dunedin, FL
Mike Dowdy ( Jenny) of Clito, GA
Ben Dowdy of Glennville, GA
Sister, Barbara Dreggors of Glennville, GA
Lucy K. Seltenright of Los Angeles, CA
Four Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
