Willie Durrence

Willie Mae "Tootsie" Barron Durrence passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga. She was born in Brooklet, GA. May 16, 1932 to Clarence and Cleo Barron. She was a 1949 Graduate of Statesboro High School and was employed as Store Manager at Clyde's Market (formerly Flash Foods) in Glennville and was a homemaker. She was a member of Glennville First Christian Church and a dedicated wife and mother who dearly family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Cleo Barron, brother, Bennie Barron.
She is survived by, Husband of 61 years, Jesse Elton "Poboy" Durrence of Glennville
Children, James "Jimmy" & Patricia Wheeler of Hinesville
Dennis "Denny" Durrence of Glennville
Larry & Jonni Durrence of Sunbury, GA.
Myra & Matt Croke of Havre de Grace, MD
Sister, Thelma Barron of Atlanta, GA.
Brothers, Colon Barron of Mableton, GA.
Ronnie Barron of Statesboro, GA.
Ten Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, November 21, 2011 Glennville First Christian Church. Burial will be follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The body will be taken to the Church 1 hour prior to the service to lie in state.
